One Direction Motivation

So with all of this recovery I have a lot of PT that I am supposed to do, and I have been doing it!  I just haven't been doing it as diligently as I could.  With school in the way of my recovery it's hard to stay on track of what is most important.  I believe what is most important is my health; my health comes before my education any day of the week.

But my mom made me a deal.  She said that for every whole day of school--meaning 8-8:30 to 3:30--she will get me one magazine.  If you don't know already, I am a Directioner for life, so this is important due to the fact that new magazines have just piled on the shelves.  I have five magazines that I need to get.  Five magazines equals five days, and I think if I can tough it out for a school week--Monday to Friday--then I can get the five remaining magazines I need to get.

Just for laughs and giggles, I found this alternate version of WMYB and felt the need to share :)

I had a weird dream with One Direction in it and the boys' basketball coach, and it was so strange...

Youtube Makeup Gurus

I honestly don't know why I'm doing this, I'm just doing it just because.  I am subscribed to these people on Youtube and find their videos very helpful when it comes to makeup, hair, and facial care.

For makeup tips, facial care, and DIY:
Be sure to check out her other channel here, she has other DIY's and outtakes from some of her most popular videos.

For amazing makeup transformations:

For other makeup tips, facial care product reviews, and much more:

For bold makeup tutorials and reviews:

I'll probably have more channels to share, but these are the people who have caught my eye thus far.  I'll have other "Youtube ___" videos up to recommend certain kinds of Youtubers for whatever interests people are looking for.

I don't know if anyone will even read these, but it's okay, it's therapy. lol.

Doctor's Appointments

So I had two doctor's appointments today.  The x-rays didn't turn out too great, and the x-ray I really wanted to post wasn't showing up on the disc for me to download it so I'll just show you the one I have:

The whole thing looks a little broken and scary but this actually looks much better than it did!
One of the doctors said that the angle coverage went from 21 degrees to 34 degrees which basically means that it's really good!

The doctors said I can start weight bearing as tolerable!  I am healing much quicker than I thought I would, I was just hoping it would be this great.  I still need to get a picture of my scar, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to use that peel off mask on my nose...

Hacked or Hoax?

So I always see all my friends on Facebook getting hacked.  I have never been hacked before except for one by some person in Istanbul and I was contacted immediately to change my password.

The big question is; were they really hacked?

Maybe they just wanna put something embarrassing out there just because they want to be honest, and to save themselves from judgement they comment or put up another status like "hacked!"

For example:  Status: "I just took the biggest dump ever omg"
Comment: "Hacked! omg"

Status: "I like elephant penis"
Status2: "Hacked! Ugh whoever did that!"

So are they really getting hacked by their friends?  Maybe they actually do like elephant penis or they really did just take a huge dump, they just felt the need to inform us and then cover up the evidence!

Who knows, maybe it's the Facebook employees hacking people just because...

Facial Peel Off Mask: Cucumber

So I decided to try out this new Freeman feeling Beautiful face mask.  I heard from multiple make-up and face gurus on Youtube that is a very nice and soothing mask.  I had a peel off mask before and I could never get it off in one piece, so I decided to try it:

So the peel off in one piece was a success, but we'll just have to see if it made a difference in my skin.  If you ask me, my skin already feels fresh!  If a skin guru recommends it I'd say it's a great product!

Link Updates

Okay so I have a bunch of links and I am terrible at keeping track so I am doing this post not only for you guys but for myself.

My Youtube

My Tumblr

I don't think I have anymore important links.  I have had some in the past but I have neglected them :(  I might get back into the feel of them later but these are the main three that I use.

Long Time no See

Hey.... yeah... I know, it's been a while.  I can explain... well, not really.  Tumblr sucked me in and I couldn't get out, not to mention I had my lovely problem which I'll explain now!

So I was born with a problem called hip dysplasia.  Basically my femoral head and my hip socket weren't oriented to each other and it was causing problems in my sports and daily life yada yada yada.

So! To fix this problem I had two operations done.  The damage done to the labrum from the problem had to be stitched up and my femoral head had to be reshaped.  Then another surgeon (yes, I had two surgeons) had to come in, cut me open and break my pelvis in three places to re-orient it and screw the bones back together.

It was a rough first week out of surgery.  I was taking too many meds, I was taking the wrong meds, things just weren't right from the start.  Thanks to a few determined nurses they pulled me out of the rut I was stuck in and I was finally able to leave the hospital.  Here's a little photo montage to give you a better visual:

This is me less than 24 hours before the surgery
Sittin in the bed, hair up, ya kno, the biz. haha
My hair is all.... yeah, that just doesn't look awesome at all.
First IV
Chillin'
Me on the way to the operating room!
Me after the surgery, passed out in my room. Got an O2 thing on and that stupid piece of plastic is recording the CO2 output to make sure I am breathing okay.

They had to put in a second IV just in case the other one clogged. I was a tricky stick.

CPM; this thing kept my leg moving around while I was passed out in bed for a majority of the time.

Scanning my pee. How cool is that? haha

Just a few of the pills I had to take...

One of the later days in the hospital.  Just goin' to do some PT, the biz.

The night after leaving the hospital.  Stayed at a hotel just to make sure everything was set to go home.

This is one of a few x-rays that I have gotten.  That arrow is pointing to a place that was broken and left separated, so it has to fuse back on its own.  Obviously you can see the mean screws I had drilled into my pelvis to hold it together while it heals.

Here are the magnificent stitches!  I got them taken out though and I never got a picture, I'll take one tomorrow (today) and post it though with my new x-rays.

Currently I am sitting in bed at the same hotel, and possibly the same room and bed, awaiting my six week post op check up appointments with both of the surgeons.  So far I have been feeling improvement but it is very very slow.  I am starting to cheat a little and put weight on it every now and then and it doesn't hurt, it just feels really stiff; atrophied muscles and swelling tend to do that.  I'll update later [today] most likely with more pictures and/or x-rays.

By the way, if you clicked on any ads that catch your eye I would love you forever!!

I have also been digging deeper into my passion for dancing.  Although I haven't had the physical ability to dance, I have had plenty of time to look at choreography videos and listen to music to the point where I just want to leap out of the bed and break into dance.  I love my sports but I feel like dance is where I need to be.  My life revolves around music and I want my career to revolve around it one way or another!
